About Africanhealthinnovationorg
The African Health Innovation Centre is a pioneering organization dedicated to strengthening Africa's health innovation ecosystem. By empowering emerging leaders, the center aims to enhance health outcomes through entrepreneurship and innovation. The center's journey began in June 2016 as a program of Impact Hub Accra, where they mapped Ghana's health innovation ecosystem and organized West Africa's first health innovation hackathon, Health Hack Accra.
Over the years, they have launched an early-stage startup incubator, facilitated digital eHealth meetups, and developed a summer research program for emerging public health leaders. In Spring 2019, the center became a separate legal entity, making it the first organization in Ghana solely focused on empowering entrepreneurs and health professionals to create innovative solutions in the health space. Their values include being bold, inclusive, collaborative, and trustworthy.
