About African Women in Media
African Women in Media (AWiM) is an international non-governmental organization that is dedicated to positively impacting the representation and presence of African women in the media. Our organization consists of a diverse network of African women from various media backgrounds. AWiM serves as a platform and beacon where women in media inspire, support, and empower each other.
Our mission is to create enabling environments for African women in media industries and to change the narrative around African women in media content. Through research, advocacy, and partnerships, we strive to impact the way media functions in relation to African women.
