About African Youth Philanthropy Network
The African Youth Philanthropy Network (AYPN) is a leading network of young and next-gen philanthropists, impact investors, and social innovators in Africa. With membership from over 19 countries, AYPN is dedicated to building an innovative and vibrant youth philanthropy community on the continent. Since its initiation in 2012 and launch in 2015, AYPN has aimed to shape the agenda for African youth and next-gen philanthropy by enhancing policies and practices through coordination, knowledge sharing, and capacity building of youth philanthropic organizations.
Motivated by the lack of youth philanthropy support platforms and programs in Africa, AYPN was established as a platform to support youth philanthropy and innovation. Their goal is to influence the agenda for youth giving and philanthropy across Africa by acting as a support system and catalyst for development.
