About Africa Sickle Cell Organisation
Africa Sickle Cell Organization is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with sickle cell disease. Our mission is to ensure that every child born with sickle cell can live a life free from suffering. We provide patients and caregivers with the necessary skills and resources to reduce the impact of sickle cell disease and help them achieve their fullest potential.
Our organization also works to strengthen sickle cell health systems in rural communities, ensuring that individuals have access to early and continuous care. Through our advocacy efforts, we strive to improve equitable access to sickle cell care by informing policy at both the sub-national and national levels.
We focus on several program areas, including awareness creation, capacity development, research and development, and advocacy. These areas allow us to address stigma, bridge knowledge and resource gaps, and inform policy decisions.
With our reach and impact, we have reached over 1 million beneficiaries in 10+ communities. Through our partnerships with organizations and allies, we continue to improve access to health services for rural populations.
