About Africa Sustainability
ASCENT (Africa Sustainability Centre) is Africa's premier partner in innovative sustainable solutions. Established in 2014 by Dr. Bakary Kante, ASCENT is a non-profit entity and an influential African think tank. They work in partnership with governments and people across Africa to fully realize their commitments in sustainable development, the rule of law, social justice, and entrepreneurship.
ASCENT's approach involves generating and disseminating knowledge through open and inclusive dialogue, supporting government efforts in establishing governance structures for social transformation, and creating frameworks to support the African private sector. They are committed to harnessing the resources of public policy research and expert knowledge to develop and execute innovative projects.
Their services range from developing strategies, capacity building, evaluation and monitoring, to technology and knowledge management support. They work closely with partners to co-design projects and programs that advance sustainability, the rule of law, and public-private partnerships.
