About Okonjima Nature Reserve
The AfriCat Foundation is an organization dedicated to the conservation of Namibia's large carnivores. With a mission to contribute significantly to conservation through education, they strive to ensure the long-term survival of Namibia's predators in their natural habitat. Covering 824,300km2, Namibia is a large country located along the southwestern coast of Africa, with a population of only 2.
5 million. It is home to approximately 1000 lions, 25% of the world's cheetah population (90% of which live on farmland), as well as leopards, wild dogs, brown and spotted hyenas. The AfriCat Foundation takes on the responsibility of protecting these magnificent creatures and their habitats.
