Up With Africa (UWA) is dedicated to providing educational, entrepreneurial, and professional skills to refugees and low-income communities using Information Technology. By empowering individuals through employment, UWA supports education and development within their communities. The vision of UWA is to bring communities together, elevate their socio-economic conditions, and develop skills essential for employment, life opportunities, and self-reliance for sustainable development.
Originating from the graduation of students in a Computer Networking Course by Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS Uganda) in 2019, UWA's inception was inspired during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. The organization's team, consisting of dedicated individuals in various roles, is committed to collaboration, communication, teamwork, and task-oriented approaches.
