About Africa Islamic Economic Forum
Africa Islamic Economic Foundation (AFRIEF) is an independent development organization that provides distinctive Islamic perspectives on economic development and social issues. They are committed to promoting ventures that nourish humanity's intellectual growth and reconstruct human thought in the light of Revealed Knowledge. AFRIEF's work spans a range of activities including advisory, research, policy development, and field-building on themes related to the Islamic economy, Islamic finance, Islamic Impact Investments, and capital markets.
Their goal is to drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth and development in Africa. AFRIEF sets the benchmark on public policy and economic development by bringing together innovative thinking from leading experts worldwide and applying it to Africa's challenges. They are engaged in advocacy, development, and education to champion and grow Islamic economies and the Lariba Cooperative Financial System (LCFS) network in Africa.
Additionally, they support governments in achieving the commitments expressed under the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. Through strengthening Islamic economy planning, financing, and institutional frameworks, AFRIEF aims to create a more sustainable and inclusive future for Africa
