Africa qualité de l'Air

AfriqAir is a hybrid air quality monitoring network focused on building knowledge and understanding of air quality in African cities through ground-based measurements. As of June 2020, the network included more than 50 low-cost sensors and reference-grade monitors, located mainly in urban areas across 11 African countries. Its work brings together observations from locations spanning the continent, from Niger and Côte d’Ivoire to Kenya and South Africa, helping make air quality information from diverse African settings more visible.

The AfriqAir website provides access to air quality data and features an interactive map, downloadable data, and a gallery of monitoring activities and locations. It also shares information about the network, including its principles, areas of operation, acknowledgements, team, partners, and resources. Through these offerings, AfriqAir supports access to ground measurement information and encourages a broader understanding of urban air quality across Africa. The network invites visitors to connect and contact the team, making its data and work accessible to researchers, partners, and others interested in air quality and environmental information.
