Afro Rainbow Austria (ARA) is a pioneering organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ migrants from African countries in Austria. Established to address the unique challenges faced by this community, ARA serves as a vital platform for visibility, communication, and change, fostering an atmosphere of trust and assistance. This organization tackles the everyday discrimination and systemic racism experienced by LGBTQI+ individuals within both Austrian society and African communities. ARA hosts monthly gatherings exclusively for African LGBTQI+ migrants, facilitating community-building and support.

In addition to these meetings, ARA engages in public discussions and various events that highlight the stories and struggles of its members, aiming to raise awareness and promote dialogue around homophobia and social justice. Their mission focuses on empowering the community, providing legal services, asylum counseling, and outreach activities. With teams operating in both Austria and Nigeria, ARA also collaborates with organizations to combat homophobia across Africa. Join ARA on their journey toward equality and inclusivity for all.
