500 A. C. (After Cataclysm) is an upcoming post-apocalyptic tabletop role-playing game built around the idea that players can shape their own destinies and work toward a brighter future.

It offers a distinct approach to resolving actions: rather than rolling to determine whether a character gets to do what they want, players choose from the available outcomes, and that outcome happens. The game’s Cataclysm System uses dice and poker-hand formation, with clever rerolls allowing players to rewrite fate. This design aims to put meaningful choices at the center of play and offers an alternative to familiar roll-to-succeed mechanics.

The project provides access to a free rulebook and features resources for exploring its setting and rules, alongside a Game Master’s Guide and library. It also offers an online character sheet tool; a downloadable character sheet is still in development. 500 A.
