AGD Grosseto

AGD Grosseto is an association supporting children, young people and adults with type 1 diabetes, as well as their families. Established in 1979, it provides free information and guidance and works to help people understand and manage the condition in everyday life. The association explains topics including type 1 diabetes, blood glucose monitoring, insulin dependence, travel with diabetes and the role of balanced eating and regular physical activity. It also highlights the importance of healthcare education from the early stages after diagnosis.

A key part of AGD Grosseto’s activities is its educational school camps, designed for children up to age eight and their parents, children aged eight to thirteen, and adolescents. These programmes offer opportunities to learn and share experiences with others facing similar challenges. The association also organises public health and awareness initiatives, including events connected with World Diabetes Day, and shares news about its projects and activities.
