Agenzia Funebre Humanitas

Humanitas – Agenzia Funebre di Cassano Pietro is a family-run funeral service in Castellaneta, serving local families and the wider province of Taranto. Founded more than 60 years ago by Vito Vincenzo Cassano, the agency is now in its third generation, carrying forward a tradition of respect, discretion, and personal support. Its team assists families around the clock, helping manage the practical and organisational responsibilities that follow a bereavement.

Services include complete funeral arrangements, funeral and cemetery paperwork, printed death notices, cremation assistance, and tanatoestetica, including care, dressing, and preparation of the deceased. Humanitas also coordinates the transformation of ashes or a lock of hair into a memorial diamond, guiding families through the necessary authorisations and process. Its range of funeral goods and sacred art includes religious images and floral decorations for chapels and other venues. The agency also provides a funeral home, publishes online obituaries, and enables visitors to leave messages of condolence.
