AVA (Agir pour la Vie Animale) is one of France's largest animal welfare associations, located in Normandy. Dedicated to providing a unique sanctuary for abandoned animals, AVA takes a stand against euthanasia and promotes the humane treatment of various species. The organization operates multiple refuges, including the Quesnoy farm-refuge and Le Petit Quesnoy, offering a safe haven for animals in need.

In addition to their shelter services, AVA actively engages in animal mediation programs and scientific research to better understand animal behavior through expert-led studies. They also facilitate pet adoptions, hold community events, and advocate for animal rights through awareness campaigns and petitions. Supporters can get involved by volunteering, sponsoring animals, or making donations to aid ongoing initiatives. With a mission centered on empathy, transparency, and action, AVA empowers individuals to become heroes for animals and cultivate a compassionate society.
