AgriFI Kenya Challenge Fund is a five-year agri-business program aimed at supporting smallholder agriculture in Kenya. With a focus on productivity, adaptation, and market integration, the program provides financial support worth EUR 18,000,000 to selected agri-enterprises. Funded by the European Union and co-funded by SlovakAid, the program seeks to improve the capacity of smallholder farmers through environmentally sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices in inclusive value chains.
The European Investment Bank provides long-term local currency financing to eligible projects in the food and agriculture sector. The Fund Managers for the program are Self Help Africa and Imani Development Limited. The specific objective of the Challenge Fund is to integrate 100,000 smallholder farmers into sustainable value chains, creating at least 10,000 jobs and increasing incomes and food security for the farmers.
Agri-enterprises are considered for funding based on criteria such as economic viability, environmental impact, social impact, and additionality and effectiveness. Join AgriFI Kenya Challenge Fund and be a part of the transformation of smallholder agriculture in Kenya. Contact us for more information
