Agrigep is a pioneering project funded by the European Union focused on combating gender inequality in research and education institutions, particularly in agriculture and life sciences. The project's primary goal is to assess the current status of Gender Equality Plans (GEP) implementation in widening countries, enhance institutional capabilities through capacity building, and develop sector-specific GEPs with targeted strategies. By addressing gender issues within the STEM fields, Agrigep aims to promote inclusivity, reputation, and research excellence in RPOs.

Through long-term institutional reforms and inclusive educational systems, the project strives to advance gender equality within the ERA. With a duration of 36 months starting in January 2023, Agrigep's collaborative efforts involving six consortium partners seek to pave the way for transformative changes in widening country RPOs.
