La Fondazione Agrion nasce nel 2014 per volontà di Regione Piemonte e Unioncamere Piemonte – i Soci fondatori – con lo scopo di promuovere e realizzare la ricerca, l’innovazione e lo sviluppo tecnologico dell’agricoltura piemontese. Il cuore della nostra attività è la creazione di percorsi di innovazione volti a migliorare la qualità del prodotto agricolo e agroalimentare piemontese. Gli ambiti in cui si articola la nostra attività di ricerca sono: – La vitivinicoltura: tecniche colturali ed enologiche, difesa della vite e dell’ambiente, biotecnologie, diffusione dei risultati. – La frutticoltura: innovazione varietale, architettura e gestione del frutteto, protezione ecosostenibile e biologica dalle avversità, qualità e post raccolta. – L’orticoltura: innovazione varietale, selezione di autoctoni volte al recupero del germoplasma orticolo regionale, messa a punto di strategie di produzione integrata e biologica. – La corilicoltura: gestione agronomica del corileto, innovazione varietale, protezione delle avversità.
