El Borrico

El Borrico is a training centre and association in Murcia focused on permaculture, agroecology and natural building. Its mission is to share practical knowledge that helps people, families and communities adopt ways of living that respect the environment, people and animals. Through educational activities and collaborative learning, the organisation works to recover traditional skills and support more sustainable development.

Its services include permaculture advice and design, food forest planning, natural building projects, straw-bale homes and geodesic domes. El Borrico also organises courses and workshops through its permaculture and natural-building schools. Topics include clay and lime mortars, grafting, pruning fruit trees and olives, and earth-based finishes.

The association offers volunteering opportunities involving productive activities, environmental education, agroecology, animal-assisted activities and construction work. Volunteers learn through a collaborative exchange and can stay in a tent or camper van, with access to a bathroom and kitchen. Based in a garden setting, El Borrico brings together education, practical work and community participation to encourage a more considerate relationship between people and the natural world.
