About AHACI
AHACI, the Honduran Association of Freight and International Logistics Agencies, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting unity and solidarity among logistics operators and driving the development and competitiveness of the logistics industry in Honduras. Empowering Central American entrepreneurs to create more jobs, AHACI sees nearshoring as a significant opportunity. By capitalizing on coordinated regional activities, the United States, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador have a historic chance to leverage the competitive advantages of nearshoring.
Through a collaboration between the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and the Georgetown Law School's Center for the Advancement of the Rule of Law in the Americas, along with HUGE Business and Investment Council, AHACI is launching the Nearshoring and Sustainable Investment program. This comprehensive program aims to explore new regulatory frameworks and economic policies to benefit and challenge the Latin American region. By providing a multidisciplinary approach, it empowers private sector leaders to become local partners for foreign investors.
With a focus on business, legal, and public policy issues, the program aims to integrate sustainable development perspectives into investment strategies, mitigating environmental, social, and governance risks. Through this program, AHACI aims to contribute to the creation of sustainable job opportunities in the Northern Triangle, reducing irregular immigration to the United States. As pioneers in this initiative, AHACI invites participants from the private sector, multinational companies, law firms, investors, and international organizations to join the program and graduate in five weeks.
With the ultimate goal of establishing the Northern Triangle as a benchmark for investment in Central America, AHACI is committed to preparing entrepreneurs to seize nearshoring opportunities and become the strategic partners that any US entrepreneur would seek
