About AHDESA
AHDESA, the Asociación Hondureña para el Desarrollo, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the comprehensive development of the most vulnerable population in Honduras. With a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives, AHDESA works towards finding solutions for rural communities. One of their notable projects is the Red de Maestros y Maestras Fogoneras, where AHDESA trains individuals in the construction of improved stoves, providing valuable employment opportunities.
The organization has also been recognized for their contribution to sustainable energy, receiving the ASHDEN International Award in 2005. AHDESA's latest innovation is the Justa 3D stove, a third-generation improvement of their 16x24 stove. This newer version offers reduced wood consumption, improved combustion, and less smoke emission.
