Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is a leading independent research institute with a focus on the health and well-being of under-resourced populations. Located in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, AHRI conducts multidisciplinary research across two campuses. Their primary goal is to make fundamental discoveries about HIV, TB, and related diseases in order to combat and eliminate these conditions.

AHRI's research encompasses population, basic and translational, social, and clinical sciences, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the health challenges faced by South African communities. Working in collaboration with local communities, academic institutions, and government stakeholders, AHRI strives to bridge the gap between research and practical interventions.
