Vera Sharav

Vera Sharav is a brand that is dedicated to upholding the humanitarian values and ethical standards of medicine. They are part of the Alliance for Human Research Protection (AHRP), a national network of lay people and professionals who advocate for voluntary, informed consent to medical intervention. Vera Sharav and AHRP aim to ensure that individuals have the freedom to choose or refuse therapy, receive honest disclosure of risks and conflicts of interest, and have access to informed consent for any medical intervention.

As a citizens' watchdog group, Vera Sharav and AHRP provide educational resources and factual information to both professionals and the general public. They strive to counter misinformation and false claims related to medical interventions, including drugs, medical devices, and vaccinations. By empowering citizens with accurate information, Vera Sharav and AHRP aim to enable individuals to exercise their right to informed consent within clinical care and medical research.

Furthermore, Vera Sharav and AHRP bring attention to ethical violations of informed consent whenever they occur. They also advocate for essential research safeguards for human subjects, urging full disclosure of risks, options to diverge from strict treatment protocols when necessary, inclusion of a true standard of care comparator arm in clinical trials, and mandatory licensure requirements for researchers conducting research on human subjects. With their commitment to ethical medical practices and their mission to protect individuals' rights, Vera Sharav and AHRP are making significant contributions to the field of medical research and ensuring the well-being of patients
