AHSCP, the Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Association of Pinhanços, is a Portuguese nonprofit institution founded in 1995 to support its local community, particularly older people and children. Its work is guided by respect, empathy, dignity and a commitment to preserving each person’s autonomy and individual story. The association provides a senior residence offering permanent or temporary accommodation and integrated care, including support for health, nutrition, safety and wellbeing.

Its Day Centre encourages active ageing, social connection and personal development while helping older people remain part of their families and community. Through its Home Support Service, AHSCP delivers personalized assistance in clients’ homes, including meals, personal hygiene, laundry, household cleaning, companionship, social support and basic health-related assistance. A multidisciplinary team works to address service users’ physical, psychological and social needs and to support cognitive and motor abilities.

The association also offers information about enrolment, volunteering and membership, and promotes activities such as adapted exercise, cognitive stimulation, crafts, celebrations and outings
