Al-Hussein Society is the leading organization in Jordan that specializes in providing rehabilitation and educational services to individuals with physical challenges. With a rich history dating back to the early 1970s, Al-Hussein Society was initially focused on upgrading orphanages and the old Cheshire Home. However, they soon recognized the urgent need for restoration and changes in services for those with physical disabilities.

The society registered as Al Hussein Society for Child Welfare in 1981 and opened a center for children with physical disabilities in a rental villa. As the demand grew, they appealed for support from His Late Majesty King Hussein, who granted them a piece of land to build a larger and more professional rehab center. With the help of HRH Princess Basma and the late Sultan Qaboos of Oman, the necessary funds were secured, and the center was inaugurated in 1984.

Since then, Al-Hussein Society has been dedicated to raising the standard and quality of its work to international levels. With the support of various ministries, local and foreign NGOs, and generous donors, they have provided schooling and therapy to thousands of children across the country. The society's offerings include pediatric rehab programs, adult and senior rehab programs, primary inclusive education, assistive technology training (both virtual and physical), and comprehensive assessment projects.
