Ähtärin Urheiluautoilijat ry is a Finnish motorsport association based in Ähtäri, bringing together around 100 members, including both recreational enthusiasts and active competitors. Formerly known as Ähtärin Moottorikerho, the club adopted its current name in the late 1980s. Its members take part in several forms of motorsport, including jokamiesluokka (Jokkis), rally, rally sprint, rallycross, car orienteering and historic rallying.
The association also introduces young people to Jokkis and provides information about membership, club administration and upcoming competitions and events. Over the years, it has organised events such as Ähtärin Ähellys, Talvi-JM, Mesikämmen Rally, a public ice-track day, car orienteering, ice sprint and the JM Talvimestaruus championship. The club’s former motorsport area at Torakkakangas closed in 2012 because it was situated in a groundwater protection area.
Plans for a new, modern venue are currently on hold, though the association continues preparatory work toward developing a suitable area
