About AHVets
Americaβs Homeless Veterans (AHVets) is a veteran-focused organization working to help end homelessness among returning service members. Its mission is to support Veterans as they move from life on the street into permanent housing, while helping them obtain and sustain shelter, food, and essential services. The organization connects participants with resources for physical and mental health needs and referrals to public and private community programs.
AHVets also operates a medically supervised residential treatment center for alcohol and drug recovery in a safe home setting, staffed by licensed, certified substance abuse counselors. The program is VA-approved and available 24 hours a day. Its housing initiatives include self-contained modular accessory dwelling units offered for sale, rental, or deployment, with each unit helping support Veteran employment.
AHVets says its programs primarily employ Veterans and use products made in the United States. Individuals can support the organization through one-time donations or recurring sponsoring memberships, helping fund services and employment opportunities for Veterans
