AIA UK

The American Institute of Architects UK Chapter (AIA UK) is a volunteer-led nonprofit and the first international chapter of the AIA, one of the world’s largest architectural organisations. It brings together architects, designers, students, and allied professionals who share a commitment to design excellence. The chapter supports its members, fosters an inclusive UK design community, connects peers, and promotes knowledge, understanding, and action on important architectural issues across the UK and beyond.

AIA UK offers membership and networking opportunities, professional resources, continuing education credits, licensure support, and a free legal helpline for members. Its programme includes building tours, lectures, movie nights, sustainability events, student initiatives, and the annual Excellence in Design Awards. The chapter also focuses on climate action, equity, diversity and inclusion, and support for students and emerging professionals. Through news, events, educational programming, and partnerships with sponsors, AIA UK helps its community exchange ideas and engage with developments affecting architecture. It welcomes prospective members and organisations interested in supporting architectural excellence and a stronger professional community.
