Aide Animale

Aide Animale Québec (AAQ) is a nonprofit organization that helps people across Québec respond to animals that are lost, injured, vulnerable, or in distress. Its goal is to offer a clear first point of contact, provide free guidance, and connect callers with appropriate local resources so animals can receive suitable care. People can seek help by phone or use AAQ’s online assistant, which offers around-the-clock support, along with practical guides, an interactive map, and information organized by animal type, including domestic, wild, and farm animals.

The organization also shares advice on common situations, lost and found animals, and reporting concerns. When circumstances require, AAQ may carry out field rescues or arrange direct care through La Chevalerie, its Québec-region shelter. La Chevalerie primarily welcomes horses, while also caring for other animals, providing treatment and rehabilitation, and helping place them in carefully selected adoptive homes.

AAQ’s work includes helping people find veterinary or shelter support, respond safely to wildlife encounters, and address urgent animal welfare needs
