AIKIDO-Schule Thomas Beck

Aikido-Schule Thomas Beck offers instruction in Aikido, a martial art presented as both a practical discipline and a path for self-reflection. Based in Berlin and active in South Tyrol, the school is led by Thomas Beck, who began studying Aikido-Zen in 1990 and has taught since 1995. His experience includes classes for children, young people and adults, as well as teaching at Berlin performing arts schools and guest instruction at Aikido dojos in Germany.

Classes and practices focus on awareness, respect for oneself and others, adaptability, and the cultivation of body and mind. Offerings include group and individual instruction, online breathing exercises, and Bokken practice: simple exercises with a wooden sword for participants to practise at home. The school also explores movement, contact and communication, meditation, and Aikido as a way of learning and peace research. In South Tyrol, courses have been offered in Völs and Seis, near the Schlern. Thomas Beck’s teaching is informed by experience in breathwork, Shiatsu and constellation work.
