Aikido Campinas

Aikido Campinas is a dojo in Campinas, Brazil, dedicated to teaching classical Aikido to adults and children. Its instructors are trained by Y. Yamada Shihan, and the school describes its approach as serious, supportive, and guided by an experienced teacher. Aikido is presented as a Japanese martial discipline that uses positioning, timing, distance, and body control rather than force or aggression. Students learn to blend with an attack and redirect its energy through circular movements, throws, and pins.

The dojo offers adult classes and a KIDS program for children aged 6 to 12. The children’s curriculum covers basic techniques as well as physical and mental principles, with an emphasis on etiquette, respect, nonviolence, and conflict resolution. Training can also help develop concentration, fitness, confidence, and emotional balance. Classes are scheduled on weekday mornings and evenings, as well as Saturday mornings. Aikido Campinas is located on Francisco Otaviano Street in Campinas, near the Castelo roundabout and the corner of Andrade Neves.
