Associação TenChi Coimbra is a nonprofit association promoting Japanese martial arts and movement practices in the Coimbra district of Portugal. Founded in 1994 as Associação Aikido de Coimbra, it adopted its current name in 2016 to reflect a wider range of activities. The association has established several practice centres connected with the TenChi school, created by Georges Stobbaerts, and receives support from Portugal’s Institute of Sport and Youth and Coimbra City Council.

Its programmes include Aikido, a martial art grounded in harmony, non-resistance and nonviolence; Kendo, a Japanese sword art; and TenChi Tessen, a movement practice inspired by both Eastern and Western traditions. The association also offers activities for children and shares information about classes, practice locations, seminars and other events. Its website lists Aikido and Kendo gatherings and seasonal training events in Coimbra, including activities at ACM Coimbra. Association enquiries can be made by email or telephone.
