Aikido Derby

Aikido Derby Club is a small, friendly martial arts club based in Derby city centre, welcoming beginners and people of all genders from age six, with no upper age limit. The club teaches Aikido, a Japanese martial art whose name means “The Way of Harmony with Energy.” Training combines physical conditioning with practical self-defence and flowing movement. Students learn safe falling and rolling, strikes and grabs, and defensive techniques including pins, redirections and throws. More advanced practice can include defending against multiple opponents and working with traditional weapons.

Classes take place every Sunday at 6 pm and last approximately two hours. Fees are £8 for adults and £5 for children. Aikido Derby is a member of Aikido for Daily Life (ADL), which is also affiliated with the British Aikido Board. The club values shared learning, community and opportunities to deepen Aikido practice through training and events. For more information, contact Jason on 07958651534. The club also shares updates through its social media channels.
