Aikido Dojo Šumperk

Aikido Dojo Šumperk is a martial arts club in Šumperk, Czech Republic, dedicated to the practice of traditional aikido. Founded in 2001, the dojo is a member of the Czech Aikido Association. It welcomes beginners and more experienced practitioners, offering training that develops physical fitness, coordination, and self-defence skills.

Aikido is a non-competitive Japanese martial art focused on guiding and controlling an attack rather than meeting force with force. Its techniques use an attacker’s movement and energy, and are designed to address both unarmed and armed attacks, including situations involving multiple attackers. The practice emphasizes balance, intention, and harmony, expressed in the meaning of the word aikido.

The dojo provides information for prospective members, including an application, details about its teachers, and practical updates on training schedules and holiday closures. It also shares news and a calendar of aikido seminars and related events, helping members stay connected with training opportunities in the Czech Republic and abroad.
