Aikido Karlín is a Prague-based aikido club welcoming adults, young people, and children, including beginners. The club teaches aikido as a non-competitive Japanese martial art focused on self-defence, harmony, and the development of mind and body. Training is led by instructors Ondřej Malina, 6th dan, and Bohumil Vaněk, 5th dan, alongside experienced members who support newcomers.
Lessons are organised by level and type of practice, with 17 hours of training each week at morning, midday, and evening times. The club invites prospective members to introductory sessions, where a more experienced practitioner provides guidance and demonstrates the essentials. Its activities also include seminars, examinations, bokken practice, and family aikido events.
Aikido Karlín publishes training schedules, holiday updates, news, and event information, and offers a newsletter for those who want to keep up with club activities. The dojo is located on Křižíkova Street in Prague 8, near the Křižíkova metro station
