Aikido Nova Era

Aikido Nova Era is an Aikido dojo in São Paulo, Brazil, offering martial arts practice grounded in harmony, respect, and nonviolent conflict resolution. The group has been active in the city for nearly 20 years and is led by Sensei Lila Serzedello, a sixth-degree black belt. It is connected with the Associação Pesquisa de Aikido in São Paulo and Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan.

Aikido Nova Era welcomes adults, teenagers, and children from age four, with men and women training together. Classes teach Aikido as a Japanese martial art focused on self-defense, inner energy, and harmonizing with an opponent rather than competing or using aggressive movements. Children’s training also encourages confidence, cooperation, respect for differences, and peaceful approaches to disagreements.

Beginners can join at any time, and dedicated introductory sessions are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays. More experienced students help newcomers learn fundamentals, including how to fall safely. The dojo offers a free trial class, weekday training, Saturday sessions, and online practice opportunities.
