Aïkido Saint Macaire is a martial arts association offering aikido practice in a welcoming, focused environment near Langon in the Gironde region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Based at the sports grounds in Le Pian-sur-Garonne, the dojo is about two kilometres from Langon and behind Saint-Macaire train station. The club welcomes beginners and experienced participants, with classes open to children from age six and adults of all ages. Practitioners can adapt the level of physical effort to their abilities, and free trial sessions are available throughout the year.
The weekly programme includes adult classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings, as well as children’s sessions on Wednesday for ages 6–9 and 9–15. Instruction is led by Jérôme Saurin, a third-dan practitioner with a federal teaching certificate. Véronique Sireix, a fifth-dan practitioner and state-qualified instructor, serves as technical adviser. Aïkido Saint Macaire is affiliated with the FFAAA and holds the stated Youth and Sports ministerial approval. The association encourages prospective members to visit the dojo and recommends bringing a medical certificate authorising aikido practice.
