AilesSudOuest

AILES Sud Ouest is an association focused on aeronautical culture and heritage, combining aircraft engineering expertise with social initiatives and the preservation of historic aircraft. Its work includes organizing aviation projects that support social reintegration and helping schools restore older aircraft. Through these activities, the association aims to preserve and pass on France’s aeronautical heritage while making practical skills and knowledge part of that effort.

AILES Sud Ouest also promotes a more environmentally responsible approach to recreational flying. It highlights concerns including pollution, the energy transition and aircraft noise, and encourages the aviation community to work together toward quieter, more sustainable motorized leisure. The association presents its Gypaète initiative as part of this direction and invites people to support its cause by joining and subscribing to its newsletter. Its website also refers to the RSA D140 and provides membership information. Based in Belfort, AILES Sud Ouest welcomes engagement from people interested in aviation, heritage preservation, social action and the future of recreational flight.
