The Associazione Italiana di Medicina Forestale (A.I.Me.F), established in December 2018, is dedicated to reconnecting individuals with nature through Forest Medicine practices. This innovative association was founded by a diverse group of professionals, including a doctor, a botanist, and an osteopath, united by a shared mission to promote the therapeutic benefits of nature immersion, known as Shinrin-yoku or "Forest Bathing."
A.I.Me.F. offers various levels of forest immersion experiences designed to enhance mental well-being and physical health. Through guided sessions in certified natural settings, participants can engage in Forest Therapy, learn about forest herbal remedies, and explore the concept of "Urban Jungles." The association also provides training programs for aspiring Forest Medicine experts and conducts research to advance the field.
By fostering awareness and protection of Italy's natural heritage, A.I.Me.F. aims to spread the healing potential of nature to a wider audience while advocating for environmental conservation.
