Airborne Composite is an Erfurt-based engineering and manufacturing company specializing in fiber-reinforced composite components. Founded in early 2021 following a change in ownership at Herzog Composite, it continues the predecessor’s operations and expertise in the aviation industry. The company’s history traces back to 1990, when Peter Herzog established an ultralight aviation school and later applied his industry knowledge to develop technical products for ultralight aircraft.

Airborne Composite offers engineering services, technical consulting, component validation and testing, mold making, prototyping, serial production, repairs, and research and development. Its work draws on modern manufacturing technologies and technical know-how, with an emphasis on careful production, quality, and in-house documentation and quality management based on DIN 9001:2000. The company can also handle urgent orders, including those for motorsport.

Beyond aviation, Airborne Composite serves customers in medical technology, trade fair and equipment construction, wind energy, and cycling. It develops and manufactures composite parts for clients, from prototypes to series components, and has expanded production to support demand across these industries.
