Air Hawke’s Bay is a New Zealand flight training provider based at Hastings Aerodrome in the Hawke’s Bay region. With nearly a century of pilot-training experience, the organisation prepares students for aviation careers through domestic and international training programmes. Its core offering is the New Zealand Diploma in Aviation at Levels 5 and 6, delivered over two years, with student loan funding available for eligible New Zealand residents.

Students can also pursue an internship programme that offers the opportunity to log more than 400 flight hours through extended study, supporting their preparation for employment. Additional pathways include instructor training, high-school Gateway and STAR courses, and employment-focused opportunities. Air Hawke’s Bay provides a fleet of aircraft and simulators, advanced learning technology, and round-the-clock access to learning and operational resources.

Training takes place in an environment the school describes as safety-focused and supportive, with Hawke’s Bay’s generally stable weather helping students gain productive flying time. The school also serves international students and notes that New Zealand pilot licences are internationally recognised
