About Air Knowledge
AirKnowledge is a U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partnership training program serving the public and EPA staff.
It develops educational materials on Clean Air Act programs, especially ambient air quality planning and stationary-source emissions control regulation. Its offerings are organized into eight curricula: foundational Air Pollution Basics, plus seven subject areas tied to specific functions in air quality agencies. These cover air quality modeling and planning, air toxics rule development and implementation, ambient air monitoring, emissions inventories, permitting, and source emissions testing and monitoring.
Learners can browse eLearning modules and courses or access classroom course materials. The site brings together content from several sources: new AirKnowledge materials developed since 2020, earlier AirKnowledge legacy materials that remain relevant, content created by AirKnowledge partners, and relevant EPA-developed resources. The program supports learning about air quality agency work and Clean Air Act responsibilities.
State, local, and tribal air agency users are directed to the program’s learning management system to view available training offerings
