About Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum
The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM), located in Brandon, Manitoba, is a dedicated institution devoted to preserving the history of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) from 1939 to 1945. Founded in the early 1980s by passionate volunteers, the museum honors the contributions of RCAF personnel and civilian efforts during World War II. It features an impressive array of artifacts, aircraft, motor vehicles, and archival materials spread across five buildings, along with the RCAF WWII Memorial Wall.
Visitors can explore extensive collections, participate in educational tours, and even enjoy vintage flights in WWII trainers. Recognized as one of Manitoba’s Signature Museums and designated a National Historic Site, the CATPM is committed to enhancing heritage tourism.
