Airparif

Airparif is the observatory for air quality in Île-de-France, the Paris region. Founded as an association in 1979, it brings together a team of 72 employees, including technicians and engineers, to monitor the air residents breathe and share reliable information. Its work combines measurement, analysis and public guidance: Airparif tracks pollutants such as ozone, nitrogen dioxide and fine particles, and provides live air-quality information, forecasts, maps and annual assessments. The organization also reports on emissions, pollen-related allergy risks, measurement methods and applicable regulations.

Airparif helps residents, public authorities and other stakeholders understand air pollution and its effects, and supports efforts to improve air quality. Its resources include practical advice for everyday action, awareness initiatives, publications, open data and web services, including APIs. It also evaluates measures and contributes knowledge to public policy. Through AIRLAB, Airparif encourages innovation and the development of new solutions. News, alerts and explanatory materials help users stay informed about pollution, its sources, health impacts and connections with weather and climate change.
