Ajidevi

AJIDEVI is an organization serving people who are blind or have low vision in Joinville, Brazil, and the surrounding region. It supports people of all ages, as well as their families, through specialized services intended to develop individual abilities, improve quality of life, and encourage social inclusion. Services are provided free of charge, with participation subject to an assessment of priorities and basic eligibility requirements.

The organization’s programs span social, educational, cultural, sports, and professional activities. Offerings include discounted ophthalmology consultations, education and social services, physical education and recreation, children’s activities, music instruction, visual stimulation, and social and youth groups. AJIDEVI also provides computer training with screen readers, Braille reading and literature, swimming, orientation and mobility instruction, employment preparation and referrals, Soroban, and theater.

The organization invites community support through donations of any amount to help sustain its work; contributions from users and their families are voluntary. AJIDEVI can be contacted by phone, email, or WhatsApp, with service hours from 8 a. m.
