AJPN

AJPN (Anonymes, Justes et persécutés durant la période nazie) is a French association and online resource dedicated to documenting people and places connected with persecution and rescue during the Second World War. Its open database explores events in towns and villages across France, bringing local histories into their geographical and political context. It records people who were persecuted, those who were hidden or rescued, members of rescue networks, resistance figures, and individuals who helped, including anonymous citizens. The site also documents places of refuge and places of internment, and provides articles and bibliographic references to support further exploration.

AJPN’s work commemorates the people who resisted discriminatory policies under the Vichy government and Nazi occupation, including those who helped save Jewish people. The association invites members and visitors to enrich its records with photographs, documents, events, anecdotes, and research. Through these contributions, AJPN aims to gather and share testimony, recognize acts of solidarity, and preserve stories that might otherwise remain unknown. Its database is open to contributing members.
