J Wainman Funeral Directors

A J Wainman Funeral Directors is a local, independently presented funeral service based in Cockerham, serving Lancaster and surrounding communities. It supports families from the moment they make contact, offering guidance through the practical steps following a death and help with registering it. The service aims to make arrangements as manageable as possible, with care, confidentiality, dignity and attention to detail.

Families can arrange a simple, traditional, alternative or bespoke funeral, choosing a burial or cremation and a suitable location for the service. Options include religious or humanist ceremonies, services at home or another appropriate venue, and a gathering with catering afterwards. The business can also help select coffins or urns, arrange flowers, music and hymns, and provide transport such as a horse-drawn or motor-cycle hearse. Repatriation is also available.

A.J. Wainman offers advice on viewing and caring for the deceased, memorials, service sheets and charitable donations, alongside information about prices. Home visits can be arranged for those unable to visit.
