AKB48 Group Asia Festival 2021 ONLINE was a cross-border music event bringing together AKB48 and seven overseas sister groups for a shared celebration of idol culture. Staged on June 27, 2021, with Tokyo as its main hub, the festival connected performers from Japan and across Asia through online broadcasts and performances from local theaters and special venues. Participating groups included JKT48, BNK48, MNL48, AKB48 Team SH, SGO48, AKB48 Team TP, and CGM48.

The event built on earlier Asia Festivals held in Bangkok and Shanghai, with a focus on showcasing the groups’ local cultures. XR effects and interactive features added experiences designed for fans watching around the world, while selected cities also offered in-person venues. The program included livestream events around the main performance, and tickets provided options such as live viewing, time-limited archives, commemorative ticket designs, merchandise, and digital advertising opportunities.
