About THE AK
Aké Collective is a brand committed to bringing delicious and best-kept-secret superfoods to as many people as possible, while also ensuring that the small-scale farmers who grow them are paid fairly. They aim to support rural farmers and inspire moments of self-care and wellbeing through their African superfoods. By partnering with over 400 farmers in North-East Nigeria, Aké Collective procures, processes, and facilitates the sale of superfoods, from the farm to your doorstep.
They make sure that the bulk of the profit made from each sale goes back to the source community. Aké Collective's journey began with the discovery of fonio, a super-grain cultivated by a small community in North-East Nigeria. Since then, they have expanded their network to include moringa farmers and have created tea blends in collaboration with Thai Thai, Lagos.
