Akhila Health

Akhila Health is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to helping underserved and low-income women build wellbeing, resilience, and greater ownership of their lives. Its name means “whole” or “complete” in Sanskrit, reflecting the organization’s holistic approach to health across body, mind, and spirit. Akhila Health partners with community organizations to bring its programs to women in trusted, accessible settings, including shelters and other community spaces.

The organization offers multiple eight-week workshop modules focused on holistic health and stress management. Through guided practices, exercises, tools, and opportunities for self-reflection, participants learn ways to manage stress, strengthen resilience, and support lasting personal change. Workshops are designed to provide a safe, supportive atmosphere where women can recognize their self-worth, develop self-sufficiency, and envision a more purposeful and balanced future. Akhila Health also shares resources such as exercises, tools, newsletters, and blog content, and invites community members to donate, volunteer, or become facilitators. Its work is supported by trained facilitators and partnerships with organizations serving women experiencing hardship, including homelessness and health challenges.
