AKI Energy is an Aboriginal Social Enterprise that works with Manitoba First Nations to reduce energy costs and promote sustainable development through investments in renewable energy. By providing technical expertise, financing development, and project management, AKI Energy ensures that projects stay on track and on budget. They focus on implementing cost-effective technologies that save communities money from day one.
One of the key solutions AKI Energy offers is geothermal energy, a clean and renewable energy source that utilizes the stable temperature of the earth to heat and cool buildings. By installing pipes approximately 1000 feet underground, fluid is circulated through a closed loop system, collecting heat from the ground in the winter and cooling the air in the summer. This process helps communities save on energy bills while also reducing their carbon footprint.
To date, AKI Energy has successfully installed over 3 million dollars' worth of renewable energy technologies in partnership with Manitoba First Nations. Their commitment to creating local employment and long-term economic development opportunities sets them apart as a trusted partner in building sustainable communities. If your community is interested in learning more about renewable energy and its benefits, reach out to AKI Energy for more information
